Treatment Approach
Therapy isn’t a one-size-fits-all proposition. Your mental health care professional needs training and experience in a variety of therapeutic methods and modalities so that they will be better able to help you find an approach that will work for you. I provide care for my patients using techniques from my training in:
- Psychodynamic Therapy
- Interpersonal Therapy
- Family Systems
Training
I am currently a staff psychologist and primary therapist at a New York City children’s day treatment center run by New York State’s Office of Mental Health (OMH), a day hospital providing mental health services to children, adolescents, and their families.
I have also served as a licensed staff psychologist in a day treatment program of a major NYC teaching hospital, where I worked in the treatment and the neuropsychological rehabilitation of brain injured adults within a community setting. Treatment modalities included cognitive remediation, individual and family counseling, and cognitive behavioral therapy.
I graduated from Yeshiva University’s School-Clinical Child Psychology Program with a doctoral degree in 2007. During my training, I gained clinical experience working with children, adolescents, couples, and families through externships and an internship, followed by three years as a psychotherapist at a psychotherapy center in Forest Hills, NY.
